pinwheel baby blanket
Here it is! almost done!
It curls up a bit on the sides. I tried a couple of rows of pearl to combat this, but I might have made it worse. oops. I'm hoping that after I sew the lace edge on, then block it (can you blow acrylic?) it will stop curling.
So what do you think? Too girly? just girly enough?

Do you mean can you block acrylic? 'Cause the answer is yes. I don't know about blowing acrylic...
I think the pearl rows are a good idea, but in order to keep from pulling inward, you'll need to add stitches to those rows as you go along. You don't have to do YOs if you don't want any more design, but you could add a stitch wherever it would be called for next in the pattern. (Do you know how to make a stitch without doing a YO? Yeah, like that.)
Also, keep in mind the lace should be a smidge longer than the diameter so it doesn't pull the blanket inward.
It's beautiful, Regan! GOOD JOB!!!
That thing is so freakin' cool!
